Don't take into account contracts or age. Rank them based on pure talent. Like a draft board for just this year. Don't take into account a rookie that you think could be a top 6/top 4 player in 2 years. Where does that player rank in 2018-2019?

You can rank more than 10. I just want to get a feel for which players are the best on each team outside of the obvious.

Blues:
1: Ryan O'Reilly
2: Alex Pietrangelo
3: Vladimir Tarasenko
4: Colton Parayko
5: Brayden Schenn
6: Jaden Schwartz
7: Jay Bouwmeester (when healthy)
8: Vince Dunn
9: David Perron
10: Jordan Binnington (I know! Small sample)

-I have long held that Petro was our best and most important player and it could still be true. However, ROR is insanely great! Tarasenko has become a bit too streaky and inconsistent defensively to be top 2.
-Schenn and Schwartz are about even. I gave Schenn the nod for his ability to play very well at center. You could definitely flip these two.
-Bouwmeester is still a top pairing D-man when his hip is healthy. It's so great to have the old Jay back. This dude just busts his tail every night.
-7 through 10 on this list was very difficult. The top 6 is pretty far separated from the rest. The top 3 is on another level from 4-6.
-How could I not put Binnington at 10?! He has gotten better every year in the AHL and is now great in the NHL.

Oof tough to rank the Stars based on talent cause Benn is wildly inconsistent...I'll rank them by players performing the best this season:

1. Seguin
2. Radulov
3. Heiskanen
4. Lindell
5. Bishop
6. Klingberg (injury earlier in the season sets him back on this list)
7. Khudobin
8. Benn
9. Polak
10. Spezza
11. Faksa
12. Dickinson
13. Fedun

Leafs

1) Matthews
2) Marner
3) Tavares
4) Andersen
5) Rielly
6) Nylander
7) Muzzin
8) Kapanen
9) Kadri
10) Gardiner
11) Johnsson
12) Dermott

I'd swap Kadri and Kapanen myself. Maybe even then slide Kadri up and drop Muzzin down but it's all negligible.

Otherwise you seem pretty spot on.

Weinerpeg
Scheifele
Wheeler
Morrissey
Laine -obviously not right now due to his slump, but that's just a classic HF/internet doom and gloom overreaction
Hellebuyck
Ehlers
Connor
Trouba
Byfuglien - but in playoffs he shoots up to #2

Morrissey should be #3.

Connor is better than Laine, much more complete player.

My team.

1. Me ( top all time points)
2. Little Steve Hutchins (always brings his own goalie gear, clutch toe saves)
3. Ben Lister ( calls "Car!" Before anyone else, safety first)
4. My brother ( really came into his own these past years)
5. Doug Jennings ( wouldn't have two nets without him)
6. Carl Rankin (nicest guy I know, if the ball goes over the neighbours fence Carl's our guy)
7. Robert Hanover ( always brings an extra stick for the new players)
8. Sammy ( nobody knows his last name or where he came from, great wrist shot though)
9. Graham Allison ( plays net when Stevie has church)
10. Steve Stamkos ( showed up this one time 8 years ago, still has the most points in one game at 33 points, all goals)

Few guys didn't make the cut, some ruined their chances having kids and getting married; suckers, could have made the list.

1. Arvidsson (Night and day when he's in the line-up vs. out)
2. Forsberg
3. Ekholm
4. Johansen
5. Josi
6. Rinne (Feels criminal to put him this low)
7. Saros
8. Subban
9. Ellis
10. Smith (definition of consistent)

Harder than I thought it'd be. There's definitely a case for several moves up or down, The whole top 5 feels interchangeable, not really many wrong answers.

its a sad indictment on our forward depth(and Poulliot & Gudbrandson) that our defence is soooo bad, yet 4 of the 10 best players on this team are defensemen
