if i were Florida, i would not have wasted a 2nd round pick on MacFarland....too much of a gamble, and although they did pick Alex Petrovic which was a good pick, they passed on better players, IMO, like Christian Thomas, Jon Merrill, Martin Marincin, Curtis Hamilton, Tyler Toffoli, Devante Smith-Pelly, Justin Faulk, Calvin Pickard....guys like these.

Interesting list, but I'm feeling pretty certain that - health granted - Kuehnhackl will not only make the NHL, but put up points not too different from those Sturm and Hecht have had over their careers.

Dunno if all the others are going to be better than that.

I agree that theres an excellent chance for him to become one of the next great germans, i really wanted the leafs to snag him at 62. all these prospects except macfarland exceeded expectations this season, the list is to which ones have elevated the most

I like Thomas alot. he is a great player in the Ontario Hockey League.

However, i dont know how that will translate to the NHL. He has a NHL shot, way to small for the tough NHL schedule.

But seeing what Jeff Skinner could do, he may have a chance...

I think if he is put on a line that does a lot of the dirty work, his size and foot speed wont be as much of a issue.

I cannot really rate the others, as i really havent seen them play enough.
