Ditto on the no-Goalie policy of the previous poster. That's comparing Apples to Kiwi's from my perspective.

1) Granlund
2) Kadri
3) Burmistrov
4) Boedker
5) Backlund
6) Eller
7) Nyquist
8) Kabanov

You'd rather have Backlund and Eller over Reimer and Kadri? :amazed:

IMO It is a toss-up between Burmistrov, Kadri, and Granlund for the top forward prospect in those.

Nazem Kadri's getting the **** end of the stick here. I'm no Leafs fan, but the offense just isn't there with Backlund and Eller. At least not to the same degree as it is with Nazem.

Kitchener, On
burmistrov (by a fair margine imo, impressed with him)
kadri (tie .... needs to get stronger, pretty dynamic)
granlund (tie .... flat out good)
boedker (huge fan, think he'll be a star.... DONT like phx's developement tho)
eller (close to the rest of the pack)
backlund (meh.. seems about right)
kabanov (risky)
kindl (loved him in kitchener, hasnt lived up to his potential yet imo)
nyquist (dont know much about him seems out of place on this list)

markstrom (tie .... highest potential - possible franchise type)
reimer (tie .... already looks like a seasoned vet, proven himself and improved at every level thus far)
gustavsson (could rise... mental/health to deal with but still has high potential imo, woudl thrive on a diff team imo)
rynnas (at this point he looks good but scrivens is ATLEAST as good plus they are both behind reimer and gus on the depth chart)

Wow, No love for Nyquist?

I think he could be the best of the bunch in about five years.

As usual , I could be wrong though!

Nyquist is a very talented player, but he's up against some high quality prospects and young NHL players here.. I think he has the potential to move up the list, but he needs to show what he can do as a pro before I can place him any higher.. I certainly dont think he seems out of place on this list though, as Im Old Gregggg said.. The guy had 112 points in 75 games the last two seasons in the NCAA and was a finalist for the Hobey Baker both years. There's no doubt in my mind that he's a very good prospect with lots of potential..

James Reimer (has not proven enough yet at ANY level)

He has never had under .904% and although that doesnt sound too great you have to consider how terribly awful his Red Deer Rebels were (.910%,.912%,.916%) and the Reading Royals (.904%). He won the ECHL playoff MVP with South Carolina with a save % of .961%. On a non-playoff Marlies team he posted .925% and .920% respectably and than for a struggling Leaf team .921%. I dont think it is so much that he has not proven enough at any level, it has to do more with him never being on a playoff team. He has played his whole career on teams that are either rebuilding or not very good.

Skaters:
1. Alexander Burmistrov (looked to fit in well with the team for a whole NHL season. Only 19)
2. Nazem Kadri (amazing in the AHL, impressive in his last stint with the Leafs, even while playing with grinders)
3. Lars Eller (looked like a decent 3rd/4th liner for most of the season, the gap is very close between him and Kadri/Burmistrov)
4. Mikael Granlund
5. Mikkel Boedker
6. Mikael Backlund
7. Gustav Nyquist
8. Jakub Kindl
9. Kirill Kabanov

Goalies:
1. James Reimer (not really a prospect.. he's already a #1 on an NHL team. He's far ahead of the pack here.)

2. Jonas Gustavsson (not really a prospect either)
3. Jacob Markstrom (People like to put him on a pedestal, but he's underwhelmed me every time I see him, at any level, but especially in the AHL. Even when he puts up good numbers he doesn't seem to have the mental toughness or footspeed to compete for a #1 NHL job.)
4. Jussi Rynnas

Granlund will probably be the best player of this group...i didn watch enough of Burmistrov to put him on the top3 but Eller and Kadri will mostly end up on the second line center by the end of next year.

Mikael Granlund
Lars Eller
Nazem Kadri
Alexander Burmistrov
Mikkel Boedker
Mikael Backlund
Jacob Kindl
Gustav Nyquist

I think people are down on Kadri just because he is a Leaf. I mean, there is no way Backlund or Eller are better than him. Not currently and they don't have as much potential. Just sayin'

1. Mikael Granlund (One of the higher end ceilings and i think hes a pretty safe bet to be a high end 2nd line center)
2. Nazem Kadri (it all depends on if kadri is a winger or center he has the potential to be a good 1st line winger or an average 2nd line center)
3. Alexander Burmistrov (a quite safe bet to be a good 2nd liner)
4. Lars Eller
5. Mikkel Boedker
6. Mikael Backlund
7. Jakub Kindl

Why not..because he is a hab prospect :sarcasm:

Eller and Kadri have both potential to be on the second line C by the end of next year but ur right Backlund case he is not better then Kadri.
