People are greatly underrating Koltsov. He is going to to be very good 3rd liner and may turn into a decent scorer if he can learn to convert some of the many scoring opportunities that he gets with his incredible speed.

What's with the ridiculous underrating of Kolnik??

He had 14 goals, 11 assists in 53 games last season and it took him a while to start producing.

Kolnik is better than Kostopolous, Brendl, Connolly, Lundmark, etc.....

He was a huge steal and may very well end up a 1rst or 2nd liner in FLA when the season resumes. 14 goals, 11 assist, 25 points in 53 games when he did play with crappy people for a while before they put him on the 1rst line? WIth Matt Cullen and Darcy Hordichuk as your linemate or Beaudoin etc...? That's pretty decent. Kolnik no doubt will be at least a 20 goal scorer in the NHL as early as the next season we play. He is a sniper watching him play, plus he plays bigger than he is. He got off to a slow start in San Antonio, but he has been on fire lately. He, Vaclav Nedorost, and Kristian Huselius are the 3 players on FLA who have the potential to explode and become 1rst/2nd liners when the lockout resumes. Kolnik is ahead of both of those two as well.

Yeah Kolnik is ahead of a lot of those guys cos he's a great scorer and great on the PK. Better than nedorost though. Nedorost has all the skills to become a star.

Malone is top out of all of them followed by Vrbata and Erat. A lot of you guys have put Pyatt to high. Kinda remarkable how may busts u can get from one draft year.

As of right now he's better than Nedo.

In terms of who I'm highest on, it's Olesz and then Nedo not far behind. And everyone knows how I feel about Olesz, so right now, Kolnik is ahead of Nedo but with Nedo scoring in the Czech league, I think he is about equal to Kolnik in terms of getting a top spot in FLA. Kolnik has all the skills to become a star aside from size. Nedo has a bit more size. That's relatively the only difference in their games. They are similar only Nedo is faster as he's one of the top 15 fastest skaters in the league NO question but Kolnik is good too. Vrbata, Erat, Malone, and Saprykin are the only one's I'd put over Kolnik. I think Pyatt is close right now, as are several other about equal right now, but I definatley think Kolnik can become a great second liner in the NHL. BTW, Nedorost can become a star. Czech his stats the last 13 games in the Extraleague and you'll see what he's capable of doing.

Yaeh i'm very high on Nedo. I learned that he was actually ranked top euro player in the mid season scouting report of his draft year ahead of Gaborik. And we know you are like Mega high on Olesz. I am too but i'm gonna be cautious.

Back to the 99 draft what the **** has Pyatt done to to get so high on these lists. Bust is the word.

Some people are rating Lundmark to high. I'm a Ranger fan so I've seen a lot of him - he sucks. Can't even by a goal on one of the AHL's best teams :shakehead

Power forwards take longer to develop. There is still time for Pyatt to turn in to a very good player.

I think you've underrated Branko Radivojevic alot. Have you seen much of him? I like his overall package very much. He's clutch.

offically the most disapointing draft in history

My memory isn't that good, but definetely the worst I can recall.

When the second best player (at least at the moment IMO) of the draft is Henrik Zetterberg, who I LOVE, it's not a very deep draft; especially when the level drops so big so fast.

Wow, I am happy this is 1999 players and not 99 of them. ;)

My bias from this list: In my pool I drafted: Saprykin, Lundmark, Koltsov and Vrbata. I added as F/A Erat, Weinhandl (and release him as well) as they became available. I have a soft spot and hoped for success for Ryan Malone.

Kris Beech looks again(!) like he's turning his career around this year.
We'll see next year how he does at the NHL level.
