One person out of three misspelled it, and even then he wrote it correctly 2 out of 3 times. Anyway, you don't know annoying until you have a Staal on your team.

Weird, I actually thought that was his best game. Two of his defensive plays led directly to goals and I don't recall him getting beating...at least not any more then anyone else did.

At least you know TSN will never get Staal wrong, as they do inconsistently with Cowen/Cowan.

Yet, he nearly made the NHL right? People put too much stock into this tournament...there are guys on this team not playing that well that actually fit into the pro-game better.

What's been the knock on Olsen? I haven't been able to watch any of the games this year cry, but I'd heard he was starting out on the top pairing with Ellis. I know he wasn't getting any PP time, but wasn't expecting him to. Has he looked bad - and what does that say for the Blackhawks, who signed him to an ELC this weekend?

He's reminded me of Brian Lee all tournament, Lee's a good skater, Dehaan's better.

I'd say Ellis, Cowen, and Gudbranson have been "good". Barrie looks like the guy I wish they'd played a bit more, since he seems to be into it, just not utilized quite as fully. De Haan has been "okay", but has also had the injury and not played a lot. Despres has been barely adequate. I hoped for more. Olsen has been abysmal. I wish Gormley had been healthy.

Barrie has been a surprise, and looks to be the most NHL ready of the 3 PMD's. Hes very composed with the puck, makes smart plays, is decent defensively, and plays bigger than his size. When people say they wish Gormely was here, most likely it would mean Barrie, not Olsen or Despres would be cut.

I did not see him get beat noticably once in that entire game. That might have been his best game actually.

He is steady and mistake free.

I thought he and Barrie were the best D for Canada so far.

Ellis aside getting points his positioning is always suspect.


Olsen is just garbage
