Isn't perfect but it works. We'll see if that number can be traded. If Strome has another good season with Panarin ship him out before the kids improve to a point where you have to slide him down and are paying a 3rd line center almost 5m.

AAV is pretty friendly considering the 2nd year and his performance last year. This is a very tradable contract if Chytil can take that next step or if someone comes knocking at the deadline, but if worst comes to worst he can be exposed to Seattle and be an appealing pick for them.

And there goes the cap flexibility. Who wants to guess how many bad penalties he's going to take this year over a full season? I'd guess 25-30.

I always cheer for these guys who bounce around and then find a place to thrive. As mentioned, hopefully he has another step in his development. As we know, confidence is so important and he looked like he regained some last season.


So far this looking like a steal by your GM in the deal from Edmonton.
