What Makes a Prospect?
A player will be considered a prospect until he meets the following criteria:

If a prospect is a skater (forward, defenseman) and has played in 65 NHL games or more before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday; or, if a goaltender has played in 45 NHL games before the completion of the season of his 24th birthday, that player will be considered graduated to the NHL. Conversely, if a player completes the season of his 24th birthday without passing those milestones, then that player will no longer be considered a prospect by Hockey’s Future, regardless of the player’s status with his NHL club.

An NCAA player who signs his first contract at or above the age of 22 has three years to meet the above criteria (65/45), while those NCAA players that turn pro under the age of 22 will be subjected to the criteria above.

European players who sign their first NHL contract at or above the age of 22 have three seasons from the time they sign that contract to meet the above criteria. Those European players below the age of 22 that have signed a NHL contract will be subjected to the criteria in section one.

NOTE: These are general guidelines and should be followed the majority of the time but certain players may still be listed as prospects if circumstances warrant.

Damn. I will have to figure out why that is. They're little country flags that show the player's country of origin.

EDIT: I made the album they're in public instead of private (not sure why it was private). Maybe that will help? If not I'll just delete the pictures because I have no idea what else would cause the issue.

Had a great time in Stamford today. Happened to park right next to Brad Richards and had a nice chat with him on the walk through the parking lot and into the venue. The Rangers entire front office was there today, even Glen Sather. Brian Leetch, Adam Graves, Sergei Nemchinov. Was honestly pretty surprised at how open and how much access there was for this camp. The prospects all were hanging out afterward to meet the fans outside the rink and in the concourse. They stopped for anybody that ask for a photo or an autograph.

I’ll give some thoughts later individually when I get some time at my computer. I have some media posted on my twitter for now if anybody cares to browse.

man we really only have 2 guys in canadian juniors? i knew we hadn't drafted many but didn't realize it was that few...and suddenly a serious lack of guys in russia now that they all came over together...

i'm liking the depth between NCAA and european prospects...with the insane amount of guys coming in at the same time, the idea of letting the next batch of kids bake in college and europe for a few years is a good thing.

Sounds awesome. I'm so impressed with how this organization has launched in the past couple of years. They were always slick but it seems like they've turbo-boosted the whole experience.
I mean, no beaches, but...

Don't think so, or at least not yet. Might have just dropped by to see our Russian prospects. He said that Shestyorkin reminds him a lot of Richter.
Imagine if we could get him to coach Hartford?

I was just thinking, if the Rangers left Lias in Hartford all season, he'd probably have 20min/game & 60 pts down there and we'd all be super hyped for him. Instead, he got 10:43/game and while I still have hopes for him to develop, I gotta believe that low ice time was a real detriment to his development. Even if Hartford was a steaming pile of trash, Lias is a competitor and I think he would have been fired up down there to succeed and pull that team through. He doesn't get that opportunity with 10:43 per game.
