A bit wacky that we just picked two guys ahead of Berard, but that he is pretty clearly the better prospect of the three.

IMO, Jones is to Cam York as Lundkvist was to Boqvist a few years back.

On the same track as the more heralded prospect, but maybe a few stations behind at the time of the draft.

The fact Zac Jones is ahead of Barron is comical. Jones sucks as a prospect compared to Barron. Once again the Rangers fan base falls in love with a small defenseman because he puts up a few points against kids. Jones will never play one game in a Rangers uniform. Barron should easily make the team and be winning player for us for a long time. Jones is not Fox or Lundkvist. He's not a small defenseman with huge skill. Think harder.

I love Jones. But I also love Barron and he has the longer resume. For now, I go Barron, but Jones could easily leapfrog him by our next ranking (depending on whether/when the various leagues play).

Add Tärnstöm. I'm not going to reach for guys the entire league allowed to last for full rounds after this kid was drafted less than a week later. Again, the others could well pass him by the time of our next ranking, but it makes no sense to me to project that now...

That has more to do with our roster being stacked with similar D than how they compare as prospects.

Barron - just look at his college resume! 3 quality years, each shows improvement over the last. Next round will decide between Jones and Reunanen.

At the very least I’d say any gap is pretty darn close at this point - especially when you factor in draft position value.
