How does Huska keep falling lol he is a lot closer to the NHL than some of these prospects that are landing around this range. He had a good start to last season then tailed off. I mean Lindbom being ranked ahead of him... lol cmon.

I take it Aaltonen has not had a good year.
He wasn't very good last year but got credit for even making the Liiga team at 18. This year though it's more of the same, he only plays 8 minutes and doesn't do a whole lot. He's only 19 but Liiga is well behind the KHL and SHL so you'd really like to see him start doing something.

Just visiting your guys board.....this list is insanely good. One of the best prospect lists a team has had in the last decade. Quality and depth.

Why do we even care at this point?
Eric Ciccolini was an under-the-radar type prospect a lot of guys loved going into his draft. He had a decent freshman year dealing with an injury. Edstrom cracked the roster of a team in the world's third-best league at 18 and played well. Sjalin is only 21 and now on a top pairing in the SHL and could be a depth defender if he ever comes over. Huska may yet prove to be a journeyman NHL goaltender. Rempe is enormous, is still 18 and will be most of the year, and we just took him. Aaltonen I don't really care for but he has some impressive tools like his skating.

I don't know, none of these guys look like impact players, but they do all have realistic development paths to the NHL, so they're not irrelevant. At this point I don't really "care" how we rank them, though I still think they're guys we should have in our periphery.

Beyond what's on the list, though, outside of maybe an Ollas (because he's 18), Kjellberg (I still don't buy there's anything there but who knows), or Rueschhoff (who we literally just signed), I don't see anything there, really. Maybe Fontaine, but I have no idea what he'll look like coming back from an injury and limited progression from the year before.

Totally understand why at this stage people don't care, but for some of us, these bottom-of-the-barrel guys are just as interesting.

Also JMO but I would definitely cut this at voting after #30. The let the rest of the guys go on the list together, let people vote for three, and then rank them as "Best of the Rest" or something. I'm not going to really be interesteded in picking between Brandon Crawley, Ty Ronning, and Jake Elmer, for example.

It's crazy that there was a very legitimate argument we should actually keep going all the way to 30.

The list is so bonkers.

Our 2018 #9OA pick who is currently playing lights out in the KHL is only 4th.
Our recent 2020 2nd round pick whom we traded to acquire, is only 13th.
Our 2019 midround pick who just made the USA WJC camp less than a month ago is only 24th.

All while excluding Fox, Kakko, Chytil, and Lindgren!

Bonkers.
