Othmann was given the #8 spot as he would have blew away the #8 poll based on the results.

Going with Barron here,

I would have Barron higher than Jones and Robertson. He's got that Hagelin like trajectory. Dominates college as a late round pick. Immediately the best player on Hartford. Comes up and scores a goal in like game 3.

That said, add skinner.

Tough call between Berard and Barron. Two very different players, but Barron doesn’t excite me as much. Berard.

Gauthier

mo speed than Barron

want JG tested in proper circumstance w/coach who is not hostile, and
on a line of complementary Fs
specifically
LaF - Chytil - Gauthier

I think a fair opportunity he passes that test.

Am hoping/cautiously expecting Barron has greater upside, but while ready for a roster spot now, has a ways to go to develop to get there.

Knew Barron wouldn't get the votes after the Jones taking 6.

He's currently a better prospect than Robertson and Othmann. Was one of the best NCAA players. Was the best player in Hartford last season and showed well at the end of the season.

Should be 7 and could argue being 6. He'll make the NHL this year and in our winter poll will shoot up to being our top forward prospect.

i don’t agree. I think Barron is ahead of the last two in the rankings.
Don’t think he’s as good as people think. I just don’t know if he’ll be anything more than a good 3rd liner. Which is great, but it doesn’t excite me.

Gauthier is what the baseball fans would call a Quadruple A guy. Same reason the Canes moved him. Hasn’t shown enough. Not getting votes from me any time soon. Would do Berard and Pajuniemi over him at the stage at least.

I think he is a 3rd liner and very long shot for a #2 line, IMO, after #5 the likely all are.

Man y’all are doing Gauthier wrong in this series
He's in that spot where he has accomplished more than some of these guys we're voting for ever will, but at the same time people seem to have seen enough of him to want to vote for unproven guys with more perceived upside (I'm one of those people). Like, there's a very realistic chance that Tim Gettinger has a better professional career than Will Cuylle, but Gettinger is old news and doesn't have a lot of projection left whereas Cuylle still seems like he could become a solid NHL regular--even if the odds are against him.

I don’t think that’s going to happen. At least not in this organization. Not sure he is long for New York.

sadly you may be right

but it is not fair to hold vs him and suggest he not get a fair chance

that bs from coach Q favoring Howden was deplorable
