New York trades Chris Kreider and Marc Staal (agrees to waive NTC) to Winnipeg for Logan Stanley and Jack Roslovic.

Jets do not consider Kreider w/o term, since they recently indulged on a 1st and Lemieux.
Assuming they would even take Staal, it is not clear he waives, and he has full NMC control.

other deals may happen with these two clubs but this is not it

How about just simplifying it Kreider for Roslovic ?

What? No. That's not fair at all for the Rangers. And we don't HAVE to trade Kreider, but if we do, we should attach one of those anchors on defense so we can free up cap space. Hence, the return for Kreider wouldn't be as good if Staal was attached.

Teams aren't going to pay a Roslovic level prospect to take on Krieder's caphit. Have you not been paying attention this offseason? It will likely cost you for a team to take on Kreider's contract

Not sure why either team does this. I’d rather just get a 1st+ for Kreider
In a world were Trouba is barely moved for a first+ you actually think you'll get a similar package for Kreider?

As long as Kreider’s agent doesn’t screw the Rags over like Trouba’s did to the Jets, yeah they should.
The cap is screwing the Rangers like how the Jets got screwed. They have to move one of Trouba, Kreider or Buchnevich. When you HAVE to move a player, you get terrible value back. Full stop

Yes? Different situations

We don’t HAVE to move Trouba, Buch, or Kreider either

And the Jets have no cap space so they would not even consider it.

8m in capspace is only enough for one of Trouba or Buch, so you kind of do. Or does the salary cap not exist in New York or something

Lol, we'll just dump Namestnikov on someone for a 3rd, similar to the Vesey deal. Once the UFA wheels get spinning again, and teams miss out on a player they wanted to fill a top 9 role, Names on a 1 year 4M deal for a middling draft pick will seem like a decent deal for some teams. Depending on his role, if he produces decently and the team is out of it comes the deadline, could be shipped for more value than the 3rd rounder they'd give up to get the player.

After that, we'll be able to afford everyone, especially after sending down Beleskey and Brendan Smith to the AHL.

A Kreider deal will involve quite a bit of value coming back to the NYR.

You think the Rangers need to add a sweetener to move Kreider?:laugh::laugh:

You obviously don't know what you're talking about. You're actually comparing Kreider's situation to Trouba's which further proves you don't understand certain things here.

Although I personally do prefer they move Kreider, don't discredit the possibility of buying out guys like Shattenkirk and Staal. Or trading Names/Strome.

Jimmy ****ing Vesey was traded for a third yet NY will have to add to move Kreider. JFC
