Rempe isn't magically making other players play better, especially to make up for the fact that he plays 5 minutes a game.

I’m ready for this series. Aside from going to a few Stars games I’ve watched less hockey the second half of this season than ever in my life. Some of y’all know the story. It’s been… lame.

But things seem to be calming down a bit and it’s the playoffs, so I’m definitely ready to get dialed in. Not sure how much I’ll be posting, but I ought to at least be around a bit for once. Missed this place.

When Chytil is ready for game action, there’s no way Rempe plays over him unless he’s really spectacular in any action he goes get. I’d probably go:

10 - 16 - 13
20 - 93 - 96
50 - 72 - 24
21 - 91 - 26

That’s the most depth you can squeeze into the lineup and pretty hard to matchup against for most rosters.

Plain and simple, this series needs to be over in 4 or 5.

That isn't meant to be harsh, but the gap between these teams is huge and if NYR wants to make a big run they need to start learning how to end series fast and why it is important. The rest it buys you in the playoffs is invaluable.

Playing Rempd game 1 makes sense imo. He’ll get the place rocking just by having normal forechecking shifts. Everyone plays a little taller with him in. And he’ll soften up the Washington D which will compound as games go on
