If there EVER was a good time to play Colorado in their barn, tonight is the absolute best time you could possibly come up with in your wildest imaginations.

No Rantanen, Makar, Kadri, Burakovsky, Calvert, Grubauer and the coup de grace, one of the top 3 players on the planet no MacKinnon, I mean seriously, I haven’t looked at the betting line, but we should probably be favored to win.

And yes I say this even with us playing the back half of the back to back. No F’Nexcuses tonight.

You want to make the playoffs and prove that the Devils game the other day was a one off...a fluke, you go out and take care of business versus a team that is missing basically 2 entire forward lines, it’s #1 Dman and goalie and you put them away...simple as that.

That said, I think we will take care of biz and we’ll once again have legit realistic playoff aspirations especially now that Igor is back and looks like Igor again while the Isles continue to blow chunks...lets do this!!!

Huh....really? They know something we don’t know?

I’m not overconfident whatsoever as Ive seen the Avs play lately with all their guys hurt and they are very scrappy with 3rd liners like Jost, Donskoi, Nischuskin all stepping up.

Playing without MacK is a totally different animal tho as he’s so good, he makes guys like Jost look like a first liner when he most certainly is not. We’ll see how they play with no MacK...I like our chances quite a bit.

As I said, I’m shocked we aren’t favored. In fact I might go to Parx Casino in NE Philly and put a few sheckles on the boys...hmmm

Just a heads up Makar is back in tonight. But the rest of this post concerning the Avs is 100% accurate. Crazy injuries for us to close out the year.

And yes the late start blows. Thanks NBC.

Listening to NHL Network as I type this in my car and Boomer just mentioned MacKinnon is out 1-2 weeks with a LBI.

FOr fantasy owners of his, that suX bigtime tho I think my team is good enough to stay in first place with just 3 weeks left.

For the Avs tho and their playoff hopes, that’s great news seeing he’ll be back in time to get back in form for the playoffs and his other injured teamates will be back as well by than.

It also lets MacKinnon get some rest so he could go full bore come playoff time.

I have a strong hunch that sometime in the next 5 years, there will be a Ranger Avalanche Cup final and that my friends would be epic!!

Thx for the heads up. Makar back is pretty big but I still think Rangers should be favored to win.

BTW: I just heard news on MacK. It can actually be a blessing in disguise. He’ll be back in plenty of time for playoffs and on other hand he’ll get too rest up which isn’t a bad thing considering how many minutes he plays tho he is a freaky physical specimen.

I’m a big MacK fanboy as I’ve owned him past 3 years in fantasy and have watched Avs play a ton. I’m rooting for Avs to make it out of the West tho it would help if their walking wounded came back sooner rather than later.

Good luck going forward just not tonight....lol

It sucks because Mack is chasing 100 and the Avs are neck and neck for #1 in the West. But Mack has looked completely exhausted carrying the load with half our team out, him getting a rest before the postseason isn't the worst thing in the world. Word is all other injured guys should be back sometime in this next four game home stand, so the situation could certainly be worse.

Good luck to you gents too. Lets have a good game with, please god, no more injuries.
