If nothing else, Darling has an amazing pad game.

These points in October are what we always lack in May - it’s a must win. The season is in the line, Necas and Svech’s future will be decided and if we lose it’s really due to the remnants of Peters system forcing the players to miss half empty nets and for the goalies to be standing backwards when the other team shoots.

This, but not sarcastically.

The Rangers were a nightmarish matchup for the Canes under Peters. Their relentlessly aggressive, fast forecheck gave the team fits in the defensive zone and Lundqvist was there to shut the door on the counterattack. It will be interesting if anything has changed given the personnel moves, behind the bench and on the ice, both teams made this year.

Without going back and looking, haven’t they been a nightmarish matchup for the better part of 10 years? Seems that way to me but could be recent years clouding my memory.
