Which of these two gets more points this season?
Dadonov. He's on an upcoming team that is pretty stacked offensively. Rakell is part of an old declining forward group that will struggle to score. Simple as that.
Rakell will probably play with Getzlaf.
He’s also younger, still showing improvement, and was better offensively last season.
Way better lol. Dadonov was injured and looked horrid for a month and then finally got it going. He finished with 4 less points than Rakell....
Easily Rakell for me
The one Barkov is bouncing pucks off of into the opposition's net.
Bjugstad isnt a poll option.
I was about to chime in with I feel like he's going to be in the driver's seat this year with the Ducks' offense flowing through him and Getzlaf. Assuming Dadonov is playing with Barkov, it should at least be close. Really good poll actually given the parallels. Gun to my head and assuming full health, Rakell, but only by a handful of points.
Rakell for me, big fan of his.
Rakell plays with one of the league's elite playmakers who has shown no sign of decline to this point.
"Old declining forward core" really only applies to Perry and Kesler, which makes it a questionable term of choice - especially when you're likely to see more rookies in the lineup opening night than "old declining" guys. Rakell's scoring rate is hardly tied to Perry, who he wasn't slated to play with anyway, and Kesler who he's never played with hardly at all.
I didn’t say way better, I said better.
The rest of that isn’t really an argument for Dadonov. It isn’t Rakell’s fault that Dadonov started poorly.
With Perry out for 5 months, Rakell’s opportunity is only going to increase. He’s already shown improvement over the last two years, is younger, and as Raccoon pointed out, this will be a year he will be expected to lead the offense with Getzlaf. I’m not saying it’s an easy choice, but I think there is more room for growth and improvement in his game and I give a slight edge to him in this poll.
I'm expecting Rakell to be around 40 goals and 75 points this year
Dadonov didn’t start the season poorly he was injured. I’m not saying Rakell doesn’t have more potential in him but you’re SEVERELY underrating Dadonov.
How am I severely underrating him, when I'm not really talking about him at all?
Im so confused lol.... you literally just said rakell is going to be the go to guy in Anaheim.... and that its a pretty close decision but a slight edge to Rakell.
Does he think dadonov is like Kucherov 2.0 or something?
Dadonov isn’t that far from Kucherov
Except for the part where he's 4 years older than Kucherov, Kucherov put up as many points in his 2nd year as Dadonov did last year, and his best season is 35 points off?
I dunno man. Looks pretty far to me.
Idk, Dadonov had a nearly identical 5v5 points/60 last year and actually higher 5v5 primary points/60. And is probably better defensively. I still think Kuch is better since Dads could be a 1 year fluke but I don’t think people realize how insane an offensive season Dadonov just had.
Relax buddy. Don’t get so upset
I love Dadonov but let’s not say things like this.
What am I upset about? Both players are really good... and the poll is close no matter who you like.
Your initial response to sojourn was wrong.
