I'm expecting a pitchers duel(at least in il the Pirates Bullpen comes in the game)

Greinke is good at home, Taillon has been pretty good recently.

Combine that with the umpire today Ryan Blakney who usually has a big strike zone.

If you would of started your best players that would of been Dickerson in left and Meadows would be in right field.

LOL, Josh Bell has figured out a very very specific way to come out of his slump.

Can we figure out a way to let the Diamondbacks get out of this situation and still have the lead?

It seems like we've managed to have a ton of 3-5 run innings even during this nightmare stretch.

Taillon just peppering the corners. Not getting many calls.

Going one inning without allowing a run feels like a big accomplishment.

Even if Taillon is at 50 pitches through 2 innings. Sad state of affairs

4 has been the magic number all year. Whether it was us scoring 4 in one inning or the other team. Happened all season

We're going to need at least two solid innings from Glasnow today. Can't see Taillon going more than 5.

Could be a big turning point there. Disappointing not to get at least one, even if it was all set up with two outs. Taillon has the top of the order here. Important to put up a 0, even if he can't give us more than 5 innings.

I think Taillon will start the 6th if he can get through this last batter in 3 or 4 pitches.

There it is. 88 pitches through 5. Amazing after those first couple innings.

Taillon is pitching a good game so far.

It should be 5 shutout innings if it wasn't for the Meadows play.

Yeah, solid stabilizing effort for the most part. He'd easily be on pace for 6 IP if it weren't for both that HR, and Goldschmidt fouling a million balls off him in the first. One thing I still don't see in his game is the killer instinct to put guys away when he has them behind in the count with two strikes. Holding out hope that his slider + curveball will eventually help him generally be able to get more Ks.

He should start the 6th, but you know Hurdle is getting antsy to get Rodriguez in this game.

Did Polanco just hustle for an infield single?

Hurdle better leave Taillon in for the 7th, only 98 pitches through 6.

The team hates Meadows. Comes up and plays great and they lose just about every game. Having the worst game of this career so far today and they are up 5-2 late in the game.

Vazquez absolutely does not deserve any rope at all. He should be out of this game if Owings gets on. Not throwing strikes is the easiest possible way to lose the game.

    Lol Hurdle.
