Aahh man, end of an era. Loved watching him with Whitney and Hanzal and of course that gorgeous shootout move that everyone in the building knew was coming but opposing goalie still couldn't stop! Vrby will always be one of the best of that Yotes generation. He seemed to really like AZ, I wonder if he'll enjoy retirement here.

That's a nice piece, and again, I appreciate the kind words he had to say about the city and fans. You could tell he was bummed not to be here and even though he didn't mention a lot of positives about the team, it was evident that he enjoyed his time in our organization. It's too bad that we likely won't approach him to become a member of our staff, having guys who genuinely care about a team and city does great things for culture.
