This has turned to chaos. Hilarious that it was the goalie who got his head on the ball

They weren't going to win without Ronaldo anyway. Better off.

Portugal coach calling for VAR when it would have been a clear hand ball against them. :P

On one hand I feel like he has a tough job though with so many players hitting the ground with a gentle breeze.

Cavani obviously can’t run, only has one leg.

Actually given the teams involved this was about as civilized and calm a way this game was ever going to end. I liked the ref's calm dismissal of most of the two teams' B.S.

Admittedly, with these two sides, it’s a hard job. But he didn’t give any cards basically all match. He let clear yellows go. It always was going to be physical with lots of rolling around. It’s Uruguay and Portugal. It’s a fight. He wasn’t up to it.

Yea I’d say a great game marred by an official who was nowhere near up for the task.

Ref was great, really let the guys play and didn't get played by all the ritual flopping.

Ronaldo's stupid yellow card at the end prevented me from going 5 for 5 on ESPN Match Predictor.

I support Uruguay, but I would not say they were better, period. Great strikers and some play-it-safe mentality unsupported by a goalie whose hand are rather shaky. I hope Cavani gets himself together though.

Amazing how Ronaldo hobbling off the field and making speeches into 2016 inspires his team to victory, but his being on the pitch in 2018 doesn't.

Maybe that beard of his (which looks stuck-on rather than real) has created a reverse Samson effect.

World Cups are better for having a Uruguay team that mixes talent and nastiness.

The guy right below your post nailed it. Once you begin calling every dive and flop and rollover by these divas, the match turns into a telenovela.
