But but but they beat Germany!

Not happening, this is the slam dunk pick in the round of 16.

we beat Germany. so 8-0 easy.

    :(

its our fault for not being ready at all vs Sweden and trying to count on the other games too.

its do or die. to win you gonna have to go through strong teams either way, so bring it.

i dont have any hope for Mexico here but this is why we watch sports and love them. lets dream boys!

Awful matchup for El Tri. How ever many goals they score, I expect Brazil to score one more.

Not awful at all. Mexico is a team that can win World Cup. They have to beat hard teams to do that. This will be like the WCF to them

I really, really want to see Mexico go through here.

Not just because it'd make Neymar cry even more than usual, but also because it'd make for a great story.

I expect a masterclass in diving, faking injuries and crowding/harrassing the ref.

However, Neymar will still probably be the most annoying in that regard, so I'll root for Mexico.

But I expect Brazil to win fairly comfortably.

This Mexico squad is no joke. They play well in every zone.

    I am picking an upset.

Mexico usually give Brazil a tough game but this time I expect a "routine" win for Brazil...Mexico seem to be running out of gas as the tournament goes on, but they kind of played into Sweden;s hands too

Brazil needed injury time goals to avoid 0-0 with Costa Rica. They are very beatable. Depends which Mexico shows up. They have a puncher's chance in this one.

I'll pick an upset with this one. Mexico has a solid squad top to bottom, and a few guys like Lozano who can break the game open for them. Brazil has looked vulnerable to an upset.

Extremely difficult to root for either of these teams

Mexico losing in R16 again would be hilarious.

    Neymar crying would be hilarious.

Don't know who to root for here.

Brazil are infuriatingly good at psyching out Latin American opposition, as we saw in 2014 with both Chile and Colombia. I'd expect the same.
