Use to be fairly active with this forum! I've been out of the loop (busy with life events) past couple years.

Hoping to get back on track and watching Dallas Stars games again!

Anyone have a quick run down on the highlights over the past couple years / major events?

Missed the playoffs last two years

-Fired Ruff, rehired Hitchock
-Won the draft lotto and got Heiskanen at #3
-traded for and signed Bishop, signed Hanzal and Radulov in FA
-Stars had a good first half of the season, but the wheels feel off towards the end. Couldn't score and had a 8 game winless streak that cost us the playoffs
-Seguin had a good season playing as a 2way center
-traded Oleksaik, waived Nemeth, benched Honka
-Hitch stepped down and we hired Montgomery
-Had a pretty good draft this year
-Dallas was one of six team Tavares meet with, but picked TO in the end
-Weve been linked to Karlsson, but doesn't look like it will happen now
-Nichuskin is back and signed a 2 year deal

Complete failure, including the worst two weeks in franchise history. Quite a few changes. Few that have looked like improvements. Disappointing drafting and development. Over-reliance on free agency.

On the horizon: probably more of the same.

Failure to build " winning" culture stays same despite many changes. Just can't seem to shake loser mentality.
