  1. curious panther fan here -

florida signed cory murphy a month or so ago to a two-year deal. i was pretty surprised to see him added to team canada's roster considering he's never played a second on nhl ice. my question is for those that have been fortunate enough to watch the games - how has he looked for canada? has he looked like he belonged? out of place?

how do you think he'll play next year for the panthers?

From what I understand he played pretty well this season in Finland as well (HIFK Helsinki).

I only saw the Slovakia game, but I got the impression that they were using him as a PP specialist and he wasn't even playing at even strength. He looked ok from what I saw, goal and a assist that game.

He hasn't looked out of place at all in the games I've seen him play.

MVP's usually play better than "pretty well".

  8. does anyone see any similarities in his game to that of rafalski? or is he more of a zidlicky/boyle type - good on the powerplay, liability anywhere else? i believe rafalski came from the same system in Helsinki - and he is who the panthers' brass seem to be comparing him to

thanks for the responses btw. keep 'em coming if you get anymore impressions!
