It needs to be on purpose. That just was technically inept.

I hope Iceland makes the World Cup. They are in a wide open group in qualifying. I think they can make it.

He led the tackle with the studs through the legs. That's going in studs first.

One can argue that Boateng's wasn't on purpose. One could also argue that that was on purpose.

It probably wasn't, but it was a really unnatural position. That call could really have gone either way.

How was Evra's arm position natural? It's not tucked and it's a good 45+ degrees.

Quick movement change. The arm is used for balance. Boateng jumped in like he is doing a Fosbury Flop.

So it's completely subjective. Got it.

Of course it is. But you can use your best judgment. The rule book is on purpose not black and white. One could argue if that is for the better. I don't mind it and think it's reasonable. You are going to get bad calls whether the rules are definitive or give leeway to the ref.

You come into this thread arguing calls without knowing the rules. Then the typical "soccer rules are subjective, everyone dives, this is why its such a stupid sport, blahblahblah" undertone rears its face.

    Give it a break.

No reason why they can't. Wide open group though I think with Ukraine, Turkey and Croatia alongside them.
