lolol voldy and I remember where the old observations page on the preds board had over 100,000 posts, two million views and was over 200 pages long before we went to the next one.
I do too steve... Ive been told the longer threads make page load times slower but I'm not sure if I believe it...
and it was tragic that all of that thread got lost when the boards reformatted...

Remember when everyone's post counts got wiped out as punishment for commenting on the Preds/Flames GDT when Vokey got into the goalie fight (with Kiprusoff I think)? That's the only time I've seen a GDT removed instead of locked.

Remember when Trotzy almost climbed the glass to get to their coach? It was the same game. From my POV, that was the night Trotz became the Predators coach instead of just a guy holding a position. He took ownership of this team that night.
John Glenn was an amazing man. My coworker was relating some stuff she'd read about him to someone else and I was in earshot. I had no idea how much he'd accomplished over his 95 years! Godspeed!

Today I Learned that my grandparents have only one smoke detector in their house. And it's OLDER THAN I AM. (Circa 1976). As is their only fire extinguisher.
This is especially fun because Grandpa, prior to age finally catching up, was an entomologist who preserved his specimens in 99% ethanol - there's still several 5-gallon carboys full of the stuff in their basement.
I'm still trying to figure out how it is I still have grandparents.

That was the case on the old servers but not so much now I believe. Tradition continues with locking threads at 1,000 though.
