They sucked in preseason the last couple of years I believe, and they made the playoffs. During that wonderful 48 point season they were 6-0 in preseason.

Even when Timmins is pressured hard he still moves the puck properly with possession as opposed to just dumping it out like most defenseman would.

He keeps plays on the stick of the Avalanche in times when they normally wouldn’t possess the puck. Very important trait.
