I think McNeill has a broken hand, but once he signs he should go to Hershey, if only to get big league practice experience heading into his offseason

A bit surprised Price hasn't gotten a call to go to Hamilton yet...but he should get one soon..I think

Habs management are stupid ... they are so slow to sign their players !

no news about Mikus, Price, Maxwell...
:shakehead

and they never can get their european players to come over ... Korpikari, Korneev, Emelin, Valentenko, Heino-Lindberg...
it's getting frustrating !

Tom Pyatt should be in tonight's game for the Hartford Wolfpack. As should Tomas Zaborsky, both making AHL debuts.

Darvin Olver, Ken Roche, and Dylan Reese also joined the pack 2 weeks ago after their NCAA seasons ended. They haven't played in all the games though (cept defenseman Reese)

What's the rush?
Mikus isn't strong enough to help in Hamilton; Price might be tired or slightly injured, who knows? Rumors are that Habs are trying to get him with the Bulldogs; Maxwell isn't old enough and can't be signed until next year.
Euro's won't come over until the summer but if they stay home to play in some of the best leagues in the world, it's really not a problem at all, as long as the team still has their rights.

Bobby Ryan, Matt Christie, and Bobby Bolt are Anaheim prospects in Portland right now. Others could come soon. Ryan Dingle was returned to his college from Portland, but is still Duck property.

it's called experience ..
Mikus could practise with the team in hamilton and see what the ahl is all about.
Price could play & get used to his new teammates.
Maxwell could sign a 10 day contract or something like that and get a feel of the AHL and what he needs to improve.

Habs managements are a big joke to that effect if we compare them with the rangers/avalanche.

They are also very poor to develop players through summer time (latendresse could be phenomenal if he works on his skating & get in better condioning, samething for Kostitsyn, lapierre could also bulk up a bit)

We have a good recruiting staff but we always developed bad : Jason Ward, Marcel Hossa, Ron Hainsey, Mike Ribeiro, François Beauchemin, etc.

Mason Raymond signed with the Moose and has already played a few games. Had a goal in his first game as well.

Please, forget Mikus. This guy won't even come close to NHL.
For Maxwell, he's clearly not ready for pro hockey. That's it.
Finally, Ward, Hossa and Hainsey aren't better than what we have on the team. Ribeiro need to leave and Beauchemin is reliable D who's playing with great Ds.

Parent also played for the Phantoms tonight, after playing with the Flyers last night, and had a goal on 5 shots. Who said the kid's got no offense?
I noticed that. Unfortunately it was overshadowed by a 7-2 defeat. Caps prospect Andrew Joudrey had an assist in what was I think his 3rd pro game.
