Prospects injured in training camp question

I thought that in the old CBA, if a prospect who had a signed entry level contract, was injured...he couldn't be sent down to his minor league club until medical clearance. Am I crazy, or can anyone confirm or deny? I can't seem to find any info and I can't find it in the old CBA, either.

Does a team have different options now? Is that the same? Anyone have any info?
