While waiting for someone to figure out how to do a prospect poll (I have no clue), here's my list and why.
[Bunnaman (23), graduated, no longer rookie eligible]

First group are close to NHL locks:
1. Frost (22) - still technically a rookie, this should be his breakout season.
2. York (20) - might start at LHV, won't be there long
3. Allison (24) - once healthy, solid finish in college, blew through the AHL, showed top 6 NHL potential
4. Foerster (19) - flashed enough at 18 in the AHL to be close to NHL ready
5. Brink (20) - disappointing season on bad Denver offense, but look for a rebound this fall
6. Zamula (21) - just needs a little more AHL seasoning, but destined to start this spring or next fall
7. Wisdom (19) - may not have enough skill for top 6, but could be dominate bottom 6 pesky forward
The next group has a good chance of starting, if not in Philly, somewhere:
8. JOB (22) - nice bounceback, needs a full college season before going pro
9. Hogberg (22) - struggled a little with NA transition, full season will help, solid 3rd pair prospect
10. Andrae (19) - struggled a bit in the SHL at 18, but that's to be expected
11. N Cates (22) - off year offensively but still a solid bottom six prospect with high IQ
12. Tuomaala (18) - we'll see if he's for real in Liiga, if he can handle a man's league at 18, sky's the limit
13. Desnoyers (19) - outperformed expectations, may be bottom six, but quality bottom six
14. Attard (22) - size, scores goal, can he play a two way game?
15. Ratcliffe (22) - showed a little improvement, project needs to step up or become a suspect
16. Lycksell (21) - flashes talent but hasn't put together the big offensive season
17. Millman (20) - wasn't ready for the AHL last season, needs to show he can physically handle pro hockey
18. St Ivany (22) - big RHD has improved, needs to show he's more than a 3rd pair fill-in
This group is more marginal, need to step up to be considered NHL caliber:
19. Wylie (22) - didn't show anything special, didn't embarrass himself in first AHL season
20. Rubtsov (23) - has to show some offensive chops in the AHL
21. McClennon (19) - given his size, has to be an elite CHL scorer to have a chance
22. Sushko (22) - needs to be top checker, PK guy to have a chance
23. Zandetti (18)

I believe Andrae's issue was the coach wouldn't play him. They changed coaches or he was traded. I forget which one it was. Him being 5'9" scares me.

Don’t have much hope for Andrae or Lycksell. Rubstov isn’t really a prospect anymore. Make it or break it year for Ratcliffe.

I think you have Wisdom too high. Great story and bottom 6 upside but he’s not a top 10 prospect. On the other hand Sushko too low. I think he finds a spot later this year.

York is number 1 in my mind but solid overall list.

Reason I put Widsom high is off the chart intangibles and he showed enough at 18 to back them up, I might use Coleman as a comparable, took a while to develop an offensive game but was a top bottom six guy early on.

I consider wisdom a nhl lock. He was one the phantoms best players last year. Energy every night even when he went into a goal scoring drought. I don't know that the Blake Coleman comparable is fair just because he's so good on the PK and I'd call Wisdom reliable not elite on the PK. But he also has a lot of growth left.

Zamula and brink are far from locks for me. We will see how they work out. Like them both just not convinced.

Obviously we didn't do goalies here but I like our goalie organizational depth

I have a prospect list but it doesn’t include any prospects that are playing on the Flyers or Phantoms rosters, with an exception in bold.

Foerster, Wisdom and Millman are also question marks until a ruling is made for these players to stay in AHL, or return to OHL, also not sure if Ersson is staying in Sweden or becoming a three headed monster tandem in Lehigh Valley with Ustimenko and Sandstrom.

Skaters:
RW Foerster - OHL Barrie
RW Wisdom - OHL Kingston
LD Millman - OHL Saginaw
C Brink - NCAA Univ. of Denver
LW Desnoyers - QMJHL Halifax
RW Tuomaala - Liiga Karpat
RW Lycksell - SHL Färjestad
RD Attard - NCAA Western Michigan Univ.
LW N. Cates - NCAA Univ. of Minnesota-Duluth
C O’Brien - NCAA Boston Univ.
LD Andrae - SHL HV71
RW McClennon - WHL Winnipeg
LD Ginning - SHL Färjestad
RD St. Ivany - NCAA Boston College
RW Brodzinski - NCAA Univ. of Minnesota
C Hain- NCAA Univ. of North Dakota
LW Westfalt - Allsvenskan Västerviks IK
LD Zanetti - OHL Peterborough
LD Murchison - NCAA Arizona State Univ.
RD Samson - WHL Prince George
C McLaughlin - USHL Sioux City
C Vorobyev - KHL Salavat Yulaev Ufa < Unsigned RFA
LW Kase - Czech Extraliga HC Sparta Praha < Unsigned RFA
LD Vasiliev - KHL Amur Khabarovsk < Hold rights indefinitely

Goalies:

Millman is AHL eligible at age 20. Under the radar how well Gordon did developing him for his whopping 13 games. He’s a good player; I wouldn’t be opposed to him playing an overage season just to get the ice time he lost this season. He’s also young for his class. Yay development.

I think they'll keep Millman at LHV, he should get plenty of PT, and he's had a year to add strength.

You could very well be looking at some form of this lineup to start next season in LHV. Plenty of playing time?

Zamula - Clendening
Hogberg - York
Seeler - Wylie
Between his age and little playing time last year, never thought you’d be the guy to fast track development of depth prospects. But here we are? My only hesitation is I’m unsure if it would count as an ELC season as an overager under contract. Not sure. It’s not common but this year hasn’t been common.

Between promotion, injuries and rotating D-men, I'd say it's a good bet Millman plays 50+ games.
Given that he's not physically mature yet, that would be a solid workload at 20.

The other advantage of AHL play is practice, the AHL schedule limits travel during the week, which means you get regular practice time, unlike the NHL where there's a lot of travel, practice time is limited, and focuses on team play, not player development.

With York and Zamula on the brink of making the NHL roster it will be super tough for the next group of young defensemen. That and assuming that the Flyers will be a competitive playoff teams the next 3 seasons (hopefully) stacked with hard to pass Veterans.
Millman, Wylie and to some degree Högberg will suffer from that and very likely be flipped for draft picks unless they really impress.

These things have a way of working things out I'm not too worried.

Ellis Provy are here to say. I expect sanheim to sign a Carlo comparable contract but it hasn't happened yet. Risto Braun Yandle are all UFA end of year. Even if risto is re signed. I only see York as nhl ready this year. I think zamula is another year away.

If coots walks for instance we may need to package one our guys for a 1c.

Ellis may shit the bed and be traded.

Risto may shit the bed and not be retained.

Or they all work out and we run all 6 til they're due for big contracts and make tough decisions.

Ultimately I'm not worried about too much depth.

Tomek will get a shot to replace Karel Vejmelka (signed by the Coyotes) as the starter for Kometa Brno in the Czech league after a decent season in Finland and also should challenge for a spot with the Slovakia national team.

Is that enough to re-emerge as a prospect or is his spot on the reserve list more a matter of paperwork at this point?

I thought we lost Tomeks rights a few years ago? I’m never sure on these European players that played in North America sometimes though.
