I'll start with the Wild. ( Don't use free agents your team could maybe sign unless on your own team.) Just use your current guys + prospects.

Gaborik-Demitra-Bouchard (scoring line) 14 million dollar line

Pouliot-Koivu-Rolston (scoring line) 6.5 million dollar line

Parrish-Sheppard-Voloshenko 4.5 million dollar line

Clutterbuck-Fiala-Danny Irmen/Matt foy ( 4th line) 3 million dollar line
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Defense-

Kim Johnsson - Brent Burns 6.5 mill
Nummelin- Stoner 2.5 mill
Thelen- Schultz 3.0 mill
Belle- Whoever.. 2.0 mill
---------------------------------------
Goalie

Josh Harding 3 mill
Kopriva/westbloom

* Manny fernandez will get traded like roloson imo, for something good, when Harding proves he's ready to carry the load.

Carolina Hurricanes:
Cory Stillman (3.5 est) - Eric Staal (4.5) - Erik Cole (4.0) 12.0 million
Andrew Ladd (1.5 est) - Rod Brind'Amour (3.6) - Justin Williams (3.5) 8.6 million
Bobby Hughes (.5 est) - Stephen Chaput (.5 est) - Joe Barnes (.5 est) 1.5 million
Craig Adams (.7 est) - Kevyn Adams (1.0 est) - Chad LaRose (.6 est) 2.3 million
extras: Nicolas Blanchard (.5 est), Harrison Reed (.5 est) 1.0 million

Jack Johnson (1.0 est) - Anton Babchuk (1.25 est) 2.25 million
Frantisek Kaberle (2.2) - Mike Commodore (1.75 est) 3.95 million
Brett Carson (.5) - Niclas Wallin(1.725) 2.225 million
extras: Andrew Hutchinson (.75 est), Risto Korhonen (.5 est) 1.25 million

Cam Ward (4.0 est)
Daniel Manzato/Justin Peters/Kevin Nastiuk/Magnus Akerlund/Craig Kowalski (.5 est) 4.5 million

projected cap total - 40.075 million total

The biggest hole that the Hurricanes have in their system is the lack of quality Left Wing prospects. To address this point in the list I have both Joe Barnes and Bobby Hughes playing out of position to fill the needed role.

The Hurricanes should have a lot of good young players coming up through the system over the next few years on defense led by Jack Johnson and Anton Babchuk.

In net Carolina is loaded enough to have an issue brewing. Manzato is a real darkhorse of the group after being a top rookie in the Swiss League.

Assuming the cap is in the 45 million dollar range at this point, the Canes would have about 5 million to spend on vets for the 3rd line.

You're making this just about impossible. For some teams there is absolutely no chance this would be accurate

Beyond the Infinite
For Columbus, it'll be a bit difficult as we have a grand total of 4 players signed for 08-09. I'll guess on prospects, but I'm sure there will be free agents signed to fill in a few spots.

Nash ($5.4 million) - Brule ($850,000) - Zherdev ($2.2 million)
Picard ($1.5 million) - Brassard ($900,000) - Pineault ($850,000)
Lindstrom ($800,000) - Malhotra ($1.2 million) - Fritsche ($800,000)
Pohl ($550,000) - Dupuis ($650,000) - Goertzen ($550,000)

Klesla ($1.65 million) - Johnson ($700,000)
Hainsey ($1.1 million) - Westcott ($1.3 million)
Russell ($850,000) - Tollefsen ($700,000)
Methot ($600,000)

Leclaire ($3 million)
Popperle ($650,000)

The Jackets will definitely have at least one free agent on the second line, probably in place of Pineault. Move Pineault down the 4th line RW, Lindstrom down to the 4th line LW, and add a free agent to the 3rd line. Also, the D will have at least 2 free agents, likely bumping Methot or Russell back to the AHL.

No idea for the Caps. I don't have the attnetion span to try and figure this all out logistically (ie with realistic salary and contract info) but I'll give it a shot

Ovechkin - Backstrom - Zubrus
Semin - Bouchard - Fehr
Clymer - Sutherby - Laich
Bourque - Gordon - Clark

Morrisonn - Eminger
Green - Pothier
Pokulok - Dovgan

The offense is downright scary, the defense is solid, the goaltending is developing.

Perezhogin and Ryder are both traded for high picks. Huet, Aebischer, Samsonov, Ribeiro, Bonk, Johnson and Souray all walk or traded for picks. We sign a top offensive dman off free agency because we have the cap space to do it.

The Habs are in great shape it's unbelievable!

Haha just noticed how our top 6 is all Europe while our bottom 6 is all north-american! And we have three Belarussians!

Komo, O'Byrne, Emelin, Cote and Bouillon are all hard hitters on D, and I don't see anyone in that lineup that could be considered soft aside from maybe Grabovsky, but we've yet to really see him play so who knows.
