Bush is a one dimensional specialist. The Canucks knew it too, every time he had the puck they backed off because they want him passing and not someone better. I like him as a 7D but Capo will be the better everyday player.

or, they were worried he was going to wind up and go Connor McDavid on dat ass

If I was a Canuck fan I would be wondering how a AHL team absolutely dominated last night.

It's preseason. Let's wait until the puck drops for the season. Our depth looks surprisingly deep this year. If we start off slow, I hope they don't wait and bring up a kid or two to keep everyone on their toes. I would think more than a vet or two will be looking over their shoulders all year.

Canucks just allowed a visiting team to dictate how the game was going to be played. Either they don’t have a system of their own that they were trying to play or their system involved just handing the coyotes the puck as soon as they crossed the red line.

Eh. There's probably a built in difference in intensity for meaningless preseason games between guys who have a spot locked down, and a bunch of career AHL/fringe players hoping to stand out and steal a 13 or 14th forward Or 7th D spot.
It's encouraging, but I wouldn't make too much of it. Same thing happened in Edmonton where they looked slow and lazy.

He's not really 1 dimensional, Boosh lacks the dimension of exiting his zone cleanly. Don't see many long tape-to-tape passes through the neutral zone to beat the forecheck from him right now. But once he's in the offensive zone he holds the line and distributes the puck, even has some ability to get the puck on net. I feel like he's had a point in every preseason game so far which doesn't mean a ton other than there's more offensive talent then you might think from a dude who will gladly play the body as much as he does.

Hopefully the zone exits come when he gets more NHL minutes since he already seems more capable with the puck this year.

Meh, we had a decent amount of regular contributors. And talented new faces like Soderberg. But with our de facto #1 line not on the trip, we showed well.
