Abdelkader has the most horrific beard of all time
One of the Panasiuk brothers at MSU has a pretty nasty one going right now in my opinion.

… and yet they have him playing left. I guess that's one way to force him to work on it.Yikes, that was a bad giveaway by Seider.
One of the things scouts don't like on him was his backhand, they were talking about it on the Winged Wheel Podcast the other day. He does have a ways to go there as he struggles when he is on it.
What's the point of having Kaski up if he's not ready? If he;s in the lineup then Bowey is out. I'd rather give Bowey a shot to play big minutes since he has to go through waivers. If Bowey sucks, then bring Kaski or Seider up. Like I said, Green will be traded in Feb anyways, so they'll both get chances this year. Not disputing that, but b/c of their unique respective situations, I'm thinking they keep Kaski up. This will give him the year to practice with the Wings & still play 50+ games. My thinking is they want to stagger some of the D & F, not have all of them come up at once to start 2020-21.
For example:
Hirose stays up
Kaski up now
Veleno & Ras mid to late season
Cholo & Seider mid to late season
Zadina & Svech late season
Kuffner in 2020-21
I see your points, but technically None of our prospects are "ready", they could all use some more seasoning/big minutes in the AHL to round out their games, some more than others. Playing E & Daley on the left side seems fairly pointless, since they have almost no trade value now, it's not likely to go up by much by the TDL, might as well integrate at least 1 D now, Kaski would be my choice b/c he can go back to Finland or sign with another NHL team in 2020 offseason, might as well see what he brings now, even if he's a 3rd pair PP specialist RHS with decent size/skating/vision etc..What's the point of having Kaski up if he's not ready? McIlrath and Hicketts both have to go through waivers, out of the two I think McIlrath actually has a better chance of getting claimed since he does one thing well. My choice would be the big guy, but I bet Hicketts is 8D.

As far as being "ready" vs. complete, heck even Erik Karlsson isn't "complete", but his offense outweighs his defensive warts.
It's perhaps petty to complain about reffing in the pre-season, but man has it been ****.
I realize that, nor am I suggesting he should replace either on the PP, but for asset mgmt. purposes & staggered integration, I'd have him in the RW lineup w/Bowey. Until we're rid of Daley & E, they can both be pressboxed. 4 Righties on most nights sounds good, even if 1 has to adjust to their offside. He isn't going to play on the PP until Green or Hronek are out of the lineup. Part of why it makes sense for him to start in GR in my opinion.
too much talent at forward for this to be a hopeless team . plus too many young guys on the upward swing for this team to not be better than last season . they might be better than the bottom worst tenHonestly, the past two games have been so enjoyable to watch for me. Like seeing what the youngsters have in them. No abdelkader, helm, green, Ericsson. Seen enough of those guys. Veleno has impressed me. Mantha is a stud. Larkin looking good. With the way I think the roster decisions are going to go, I’ll prbly be checking out more Griffins games than ever before. LGRW
Best OT player in the game.
