A 12 point gap is nothing. Liverpool were 25 points off of Manchester City and they think they are favourites going into next season. 12 points is a 2 game swing. I'm not going to go back and look at results to give examples of how things could have turned with a little fortune, because the season was so depressing, but 12 points is nothing.

Who said Liverpool were favorites? Talk about a bad post on pages full of them.

Liverpool got absolutely screwed by their December schedule but the rest isn't too bad.

This is highlighted by playing Arsenal on the 29th and Man City on the 1st. No idea how that happened compared to the rest of top six:

LFC play Arsenal & City
SPURS play Wolves & Cardiff
UNITED play Bournemouth & Newcastle
CHELSEA play Palace & Saints
CITY play Saints & Liverpool
ARSENAL play Liverpool & Fulham

All 29th & 1st

I hope LFC play their youth team in Manchester on Jan 1.

I'd rather have those two games be more difficult. The run-in is piss easy. If they have a good first half, they could pile up the points late on.

Thanks to the UK press regulator, any Newcastle fans who wish to compare Mike Ashley with Kin Jong Un in print may do so- at least, as long as they are careful about the wording.

Times article comparing Mike Ashley to Kim Jong-un was fair, Ipso rules

Mike Ashley likes to portray himself as a man who doesn't care what anyone thinks about him. How to square his maverick self-image with this legal action is a moot point.

The way Tottenham players have stood out for their squads at the WC, dammit, how about winning something with the club, boys?

Hopefully Sterling will continue his goalscoring form into the PL season - and Fernandinho his general play.

This is going to be the problem with Karius going forward. People will be so hard on him and point out exactly everything he does wrong. People need to just let it go and give him a new chance

I still think if Liverpool go into the season without at least a really good backup for Karius (1A/1B), then they'll regret it. He showed good things in the latter half of last season, but he still made some mistakes outside of the CL final that should worry you. He certainly doesn't inspire confidence, which is a big deal for the players in front of him.

Luke Shaw showing his dedication to off-season training:

Old photo? Because apparently he posted on his instagram to shut down the rumors of him being out of shape.

According to Shaw himself that was two weeks ago. The publication which had that picture (Mirror) also had the story of Shaw resuming training early as well. We'll see how that works. In other United related news, Andreas Pereira will be given a chance to make the first team during the season.
