Our defensive zone coverage and exits are so appalling that I have to think it’s a systems issue. Every line and defensive pair is running around like they have no idea where the marks are, and Preds are just coasting into high-danger chances.

Nashville’s the rare team that’s better than us in every area (including defense) but they’re not THAT much better offensively . Hopefully RBA has an idea of what’s going on and how to fix it in under 17 minutes.

I gotta think it's nerves. I haven't watched much of the preseason thus far, but I can't imagine they've looked like this all the time if they're undefeated

I dunno. Watching the replay, it looks like Aho took a check away from the puck from another Predator, causing him to collide with PK and causing them both to fall.

Then the ref called interference on PK. I can see why he'd argue that

Maybe he’d get the benefit of the doubt if he hadn’t thrown a completely separate punch in the same place against the same player 15 seconds earlier, causing an uproar when the first one was let go.

Only an idiot goes back and does the same thing, then freaks out when he gets caught.

He will have to watch tape, he’s been in the game, I think he will figure it out

I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s nerves for the younger guys, but when I see guys like Staal and Slavin looking confused and chasing the puck I start thinking something’s off with the game plan.

The majority of the bad shifts have been related to having the puck in a position to clear, and spending that split-second looking around for nonexistent passing targets, then just flipping the puck into space for a turnover (Muller flashbacks ensue).

Darren Yorke just basically said Foegele has made the roster.

Subban has made several high punches behind the play and there he just took Aho down when the puck was well gone, then leaned down and and threw a punch while he was on the ice. I know PK plays with an edge, but he's crossed the line several times and I add lucky he only got a single 2 min penalty.

I mean this is Subban special, hit&punch. He was just graciois here since it's preseason and didn't target Aho's head.

It seems as if NSH is on top of CAR more quickly, no doubt a result of the bag skate after the last meeting. That lack of time and space is going to cause any team that’s not well-experienced to turn it over more often. It doesn’t take away from the system concern, just that in combination with a young team, we’re likely to see a team that isn’t as good as what we’ve enjoyed so far this preseason.
