I think we look pretty good in the offensive zone.

But we look a little shaky in the defensive zone. We still have trouble clearing the zone.

PP looks competent. They look like they have a plan, they know what to do and are actually generating shots.

Arvy still can't bury a breakaway chance anymore.

Smith! Nice pass from Turris and a nice move around a canes player. And a power play!

I guess they needed that high stick no-goal to break the seal behind Forsberg, lol.

Ekholm x2!

Nice play from Duchene on the boards to Granlund in front to Ekholm with a great finish.

To be honest, it kind of looked like Granlund and Ekholm both sort of flubbed their pass/shot, but it went in!
Edit: maybe not quite, it looked like it on the first replay, but the next one it looked like just a soft pass/shot in front.

This is definitely the eternal optimist in me, but Turris looks more comfortable on the wing. Maybe not having to center a line is a bit of pressure off of him. It's pre-season and a small sample size, but he looks different to me.

In the forward competition;
Carr-had meh! game.
Salomaki-looked like Salomaki
No gain there by either to me.
Tinordi-little surprising to me in a good way.
Santini-he looked much better than I would have thought. Surprisingly so.
Didn’t notice Fabbro that much but he was steady
Turris-looked very good
Granlund-ok, but not impressive
Power Play-just ok
Duchene-boy, he just shows flashes of brilliance
Looked pre-season ish but got the players needed ice time together
Carolina looked darn good, too.
