Yes the season is still months away,
Yes I am incredibly bored.
and Yes I realize some of these are optimistic but hey so am I.

These are 82 game projections

Ivan Barbashev: 13g 24a 37p
I think he makes the team out of camp as the 3C and hold the position all year barring injury.

Beau Bennett: 9g 14a 23p
I think Bennett finds himself as the 3RW with Berglund out for the first few months. After Berglund's return he will find duty on the 4th line or pressbox.

Patrick Berglund: 15g 12a 27p
I think Bergy will have slow start upon returning from injury but in typical fashion he will find a hot streak mid season and still put up a respectable number of goals.

Kyle Brodziak: 7g 6a 13p
I think Brodziak will be the main 4C but I have a feeling the Blues are going to be rotating fresh legs in on the 4th line throughout the year so he may see a quarter of the games from the pressbox.

Robby Fabbri: 21g 36a 57p
I have a gut feeling that Fabs is going to come out like a ball of fire to start the season. I think he will split time at 2C with Schenn until one of them claims it.

Dmitrij Jaskin: 3g 6a 9p
He is going to be fighting for playing time down on the 4th line. Will probably spend more nights in pressbox than actually playing sadly.

Magnus Paajarvi: 12g 12a 24p
I think we are looking at Upshall's replacement as the 4LW and I firmly believe he will find playing time in the top9 as points throughout the season.

Brayden Schenn: 27g 34p 61p
In his first season with the Blues he will have a career year and tremendously help out our PP. He will split time with 2C with Fabbri throughout the year.

Jaden Schwartz: 27g 37a 64p
After a lackluster season last year Schwartzy will bounce back stronger than ever and solidify himself as top line LW.

Vladimir Sobotka: 10g 22a 32p
The little guy with gumption will do what he does. Be a solid all around player and find himself moving up and down the lineup throughout the year.

Paul Stastny: 19g 37a 56p
Contract year. No doubts whatsoever that it will be his best season with the Blues.

Alexander Steen: 15g 32a 47p
I really hope I am wrong but I feel like the decline is real with Steen and will continue this season. As much as I would love to see him return to a 60 point player I just don't think he is that guy anymore.

Oskar Sundqvist: 2g 4a 6p
Another player who will find himself rotating between the 4th line and pressbox.

Vladimir Tarasenko: 45g 40a 85p
Career year for Tarasenko as he becomes the first Blue to score PPG in a long ass time as he challenges for the Rocket.

Chris Thorburn: 3g 3a 6p
Yet another player that will be battling for ice time on the 4th line. I honestly see him just getting spot duty against some of leagues "heavier" teams.

Robert Bortuzzo: 32g 69a 101p
Goes full Bobby BORRtuzzo and sets the NHL on fire.
What??
Ok Seriously. 2g 5a 7p
Splits time with Schmaltz on the bottom pairing this year.

Jay Bouwmeester: 2g 12a 14p
As I have stated in the past Bouwmeester stick is the place where offense dies. That being said he will pick up his average points somewhere in the mid to low teens.

Joel Edmundson: 5g 17a 22p
I think Joel is going to cut out a bigger role for himself this year perhaps even surpass Bouwmeester as our top LHD.

Carl Gunnarsson: 2g 6a 8p
He is going to be hearing footsteps all year long as Dunn and Walman are going to tight on his heels trying to steal his job away.

Colton Parayko: 12g 35a 47p
God will finally start unleashing his slapshot on a regular basis. He got the new contract and I feel like he is the type of kid who is going to push himself to earn it.

Alex Pietrangelo: 17g 41a 58p
With more PP time and offensive zone starts with Shattenkirk's departure I feel like Pie will take a huge leap forward in points and finally get the Norris recognition he deserves.

Jordan Schmaltz: 2g 10a 12p
Kid will split a lot of time with Bortuzzo this year and show flashes of his offensive talent but not enough to keep in the lineup regularly.

So what are your predictions for the coming year? Lets hear em!

I agree, we see a decline in points production from Steen. But I also think we'll see him moved to a 3rd line role by season's end and have an internal replacement to offset that. He'll be viewed as overpaid, but in reality I think his experience and intangibles will make it a worthwhile part of the team.

I think Pietrangelo hits 60 points this year. He became a beast last year after Shatty left. I think you will start seeing him in Norris trophy talks now.

Last year, 9 defensemen in the entire league hit 50 points, and only 6 hit 40 assists. None of them being on the same team. We're gonna have two guys hit both? I think realistically, Pietrangelo hits 53P/38A and Parayko hits 42P/33A. And I'll say 8P/5A for Dunn.

Parayko won't get 50, but Dunn is only getting 8 points this season? Lol, in how many games?
