Speculation: Prediction thread

Started reading this thread and wondered why so many posters were picking San Jose to finish 1st in the Pacific. Odd given how well the Flames are playing and how poorly the Sharks are playing. A few posters even predicted the Kings will finish 2nd or 3rd.

Then I looked at the post date.... Oct. 2..... LOL

The Sharks made many changes and have yet to gel and thus I am not going to write them off yet. The more points Calgary gets between the Sharks and them the better because at some point they will likely throw the switch and become all-world.

I underestimated the Ducks and their ability to be relevant but Getzlaf is one of the most under-rated stars in the league. I still don't think they have the depth for a deep run but they could prove me wrong.

A win tonight would go a long way to solidifying our hold on the division lead. Edmonton has 2 games in hand and if they win both would give them 2nd place in the division.

The placement was what was important. The points were more a joke on Edmonton.
