I would think Karl-Anthony Towns would almost certainly be on the squad

Lillard would seem a likely candidate as well

Towns has played for the DR before, not sure if you can switch Nat. teams.

half those guys will say no

Especially if some are coming off a finals run and/or already won Gold.

As for the OP, if Cousins is back to form I don't see Draymond making it over him. He'll be 2 years removed from injury, however he already has a Gold medal so maybe he'll avoid the risk.

I honestly could see Colangelo holding Butlers attitude problems against him if he doesnt grow up. Hes very old school.

Looking back, its crazy how good the 2016 team despite it being significantly weaker than 2012+2008.

They were the "Redeem Team" after they got smoked in 2004.

I think Lillard has a good shot of making it.

Klay may say no or not be healthy enough.

He won Gold in 2016 and is coming off a huge injury so no point in risking it, but Lillard over Klay is an easy choice.

Id be surprised if any of them go except Draymond. Maybe Steph cause he never has won a Olympic gold medal. Kemba will be on the team. Others such as Booker, Taytum, Brown, Mitchell, and Beal could probably be on the team.

Steph probably will - the only thing he's really missing is an Olympic Gold and this is probably his last shot.

As for the last four, if the regulars all commit the only one I think has a good shot is Booker.

How will be USA team affected by the new olympic schedule?

If anything it could help them. Curry, Klay and KD will have another year to heal now and be ready. If the Olympics were still happening this year, good chance KD + Klay bow out since they are coming off serious injuries. That extra year may also help out the younger guys like Booker, if he has another all star year that would help his case.

LeBron is obviously still elite in his mid 30s and IMO he's guaranteed a spot if he wants it.

as i see it:

Guards: Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Damian Lillard, Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell

Forwards: Michael Porter Jr, Dillon Brooks, Tobias Harris, Khris Middleton, Jayson Tatum

Centers: Zion Williamson, Robert Williams 3

I dont see players such as Lebron, Durant, Davies, Kawhi, Curry, Harden etc playing. But this team should still be enough to win the gold.

I think Kawhi + Curry are in 100%. Unlike the others, they've never played in the Olympics and as a result don't have a Gold Medal from there.

Robert Williams III on the team? Are you ok? Tobias Harris?? Dillon Brooks is Canadian by the way

I will say C will be tough to fill if both AD/Zion bow out.
