Toronto
30. Edmonton (Leafs have 4 games in hand)
29. Toronto (last win was lucky, due to struggle soon with the youth and mounting injuries)
28. Vancouver (2 points separate the Leafs and them AND Vancouver has more ROW)
27. Winnipeg (toughest schedule of the 68 point teams)
26. Columbus

This winning streak isn't like winning streaks of the past where we're outplayed, outshot, and out chanced. Our goalies haven't had to stand on there heads, we are keeping the shots relatively low (not mid 40's every night) and we have the puck more than our opponents. Ridiculous part is we're also good at face-offs this year.

I have more faith in Bernier now than ever, I feel pretty confident when he's in net suddenly.

Babs is a heckuva coach that's for sure.

Having said that, I don't think we're going to suddenly fall off the map and start losing the remaining games.

I'm super salty that these teams with legit star players and playoff hopes are going to finish lower than our glorified ahl team

I'll be the first one to be optimistic here... I'll say:

30. Leafs
29. Oilers
28. Canucks
27. Winnipeg
26. Calgary

We still sit in last place in terms of points, which means we control our fate. We've had a few lucky games recently and I think we're due for some regulation losses. If we go 3-6 down the stretch (no goddamn OT losses), I think we stay in last.

I put this in the tank thread but...

I don't think you guys will have to worry about the Oilers finishing below you. Tonight is guaranteed loss for the Oil but I expect the Oilers to beat the Canucks twice and Flames (have played both teams well this year even in losses and get Flames at home so can make sure McDavid doesn't face Gio and Brodie). I think will lose in OT to Ana and will finish with 74 points. Unless you think the Leafs will pick up 10 more points you guys should be safe. The Canucks though can realistically lose all there remaining and may only get 1 or 2 more points. Looking at Jets and Flames and I only see 1 winnable game for each remaining and expect both to pick up no more than 2 or 3 (maybe 4) points. I predict the final standings as follows:

30. Canucks (watching this team and they have quit)
29. Jets (very tough schedule... Only win is OTT)
28. Leafs (most unpredictable but expect other teams to prepare better with recent surge)
27. Flames (will beat Canucks...could beat Edm but won't get match ups they want against Oil so expect 1 W)
26. Oilers
25. Blue Jackets

Vancouver's given up, but there's just not enough time left in the season to pass the Oilers. Toronto/Calgary/Columbus could be in any order, but I'm giving Toronto the benefit of the doubt due to them currently being in last. Calgary falls behind Columbus because they traded away more at the deadline.

We also have a really tough remaining schedule, mostly against playoff teams or teams fighting for their playoff lives, on the road.

30. Oilers (Really embarrassing considering they just landed Mcdavid after having three 1st overalls in the 5 drafts before)
29. Leafs/Winterpeg (Toss up.)
28. Winterpeg/Leafs
27. Vancouver
26. Calgary

I don't think Vancouver will score 10 more goals this year.

Oilers will win the lottery again probably.

I'd love for us to still be in the top 5 post lotto. I just think there is zero chance of that happening.
