4 games into Rick Nash's reign in Nashville, the team has yet to win a game. Nash has settled in nicely, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists on a challenged team, but it was not enough to stop the Predators' losing streak.

Last nights close 1-2 decision against the Detroit Red Wings was the Predators 7th loss in a row. After being only a few points out of the playoff race a few weeks ago, the team now finds itself dead last in the Western Conference.

The recent trades, including sending stud defenseman Chris Phillips to Calgary did not bode well for the Predators defensive record. Goaltender Kari Lehtonen continues to stand on his head, but gets little help and faces 40 shots a game.

But help is on the way. The Predators recently claimed the allmighty Valeri Bure off waivers from the Tampa Bay Lightning. Bure is knows as tenacious two-way forward who will improve team defence and his goalscoring abilities will elevate the team to playoff contention :sarcasm:
