while i think i see a lot of positive changes, we aren't going anywhere with Duchene and johansen playing like duds. i am so over johansen. hell forsberg too.

I just looked at natural stat trick ... centers, min 200 mins, Bonino 12th in pts/60 at 5on5, Duchene 33rd, Turris 91st, Joey 130th.

Duchene is exactly what he always has been despite some of the loftier expectations some may have had for him. Hes always been a 60 point player that occassionally put up a 70 point season. Guess what hes on pace for production wise this season? Basically 60 points. We probably overpaid for that production but that's life if you're going over UFAs and we could have signed worse contracts for sure.

And as I write this he gets a penalty. Bummer.

We need to break them back up. Whatever spark they used to have seems to be gone. Plus Jarnkrok has played much better with Johansen than Duchene this season. Likewise, Forberg has been better with Duchene than Johansen.
