I'm not familiar with auction drafts. Why did you take 6 goalies out of 16 picks? Were you cornering the market?

there was a min 4 games played thing and I ended up trading Halek for two players who were taken a head of him--some guyes waited too long to get a goalie and were stuck with three back ups

Nashville being good
Dallas being bad(with those two it was generally in regards to the spezza trade where i thought he was an idiot for choosing a team that had abysmal defense over a team that just needed a couple offensive pieces(which he and hemsky could help a lot))
#Holby4Vezina (mitch korn factor)
Tarasenko to have a breakout year(didn't expect this good and also expected nuke to do well but he got hurt)
Forsberg to do solid on a line with Neal and Riberio (i thought he'd benefit more than help but yeah)
Letang to have a career year (mike johnston fits him well plus he's been healthy)
Rinne would be the best goalie (and then he got hurt... and i underestimated price a bit)
vancouver being decent enough to make the playoffs but won't make noise (remains to be seen really but i thought they were putting bandages on the shell of a previously good team, though the vrbata contract is amazing)
winnipeg being a sleeper (depth(well not really depth but theres a lot of pretty good players) on both offense and defense is amazing. main previous problem is goalie)
Garth Snow is a good GM (seems people are finally starting to realize that in GM related threads)
devils being bad (i knew at least one person who thought they'd be a solid playoff team which i still don't get)
isles being quite good (sorta the other way around for devils, thought it was obvious)
LA and boston falling off (tbf i wasn't really being serious....)

one that i didn't necessarily guess but i accidentally picked buff in the 5th round in my fantasy league... ended up working out pretty decently

i think i did pretty good (i did get a few wrong but the thread's not about that ;) )

in terms of proof, you'd have to ask other posters since most of my predictions were made elsewhere. notably TMI, seafoam, and Hansen. annnnd i'm the only one who predicted holtby to have a chance at the vezina in the hf votes series http://hfboards.mandatory.com/showpost.php?p=96931789&postcount=57

I knew the avs would be fighting for a playoffs spot, and I'm sure almost everyone else thought so too with the exception of avs fans.

I said Price, Rinne and Holtby would be the three finalists for the Vezina and Price and Rinne would be neck and neck but Price coming out on top. I also predicted Seguin would be top 3 in points this season.

if you make a claim post the thread or post you made the claim in

I agree, I feel like everyone is making up **** in here.

I took Roman Josi as the last pick in total (24th round) in my fantasy and people were laughing at me.
Well, yeah.

I thought the Isles would contend for the Metro, Winnipeg and Calgary to contend for the playoffs, and Toronto to be hovering around .500 at first, then transition into a mess. We saw how all that panned out ;)

I predicted the Avs would miss the playoffs.

I predicted the Sens to miss.

I predicted the leafs to finish between first and last.. Spot on on that one.

Some bigger ones.

Predicted Reimer take back the starting role from bernier by the end of the season.. Reimer getting more starts lately.

Predicted NYI would collapse either at years end or in the playoffs.

Predicted Oilers would be contending for McDavid when a lot of people we're claiming an outside top 5 pick.

I predicted that the Islanders would do very good, Nashville would make the playoffs (expected them to get a WC though), Backstrom to be contending for the Art Ross and that Dallas wouldn't make the playoffs.

Sorry I can't back this up since I wasn't on here back then even though I knew about the site. These were just predictions that I was discussing with my brother near the start of the season.

The ones that didnt pan out:

Edmonton finishing top 10 in the West.
Minnesota doing very well, same with Colorado
Florida to finish in 14th-16th

I thought the post I replied to at the same time made it obvious I was lying...like half the posters in here.

it was hardly obvious because the other predictions were very reasonable and even then its possible that someone would pick holtby (ie. me)

This wasn't a pre-season prediction but it was at a time (mid-December) when the Leafs were red hot. In the now hilarious thread "Lightning vs Canadiens vs Red Wings vs Leafs", I predicted the demise of the Leafs and that the Red Wings would probably fight it out with the Lightning and the Habs for the top spot in the Atlantic.

if you make a claim post the thread or post you made the claim in

Predicted in one of the prediction threads that Islanders would win the division. That's still up in the air but I'll stick with that prediction.
