Speculation: Pre-Pre-Season Predictions

Ok, since this board has been boring the last few weeks let's see what people are thinking about this upcoming season with camp right around the corner.

Realistic Team Prediction: 3rd in Metro

Realistic Offensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): G and Coots have similar years as last year, Voracek (playing mostly on 2nd line) disappoints, Simmer bounces back but doesn't get the ice time to put up big numbers

Realistic Defensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): Hagg plays a little better and people lay off of him, Gudas becomes the whipping boy, AMac buried at some point, Provolone gets better, Ghost stays about the same

Unealistic Offensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): Patrick scores 30 goals and hits 75+ points, JvR scores 35 goals, Raffl plays on the 4th line and is best 4th liner in the league

Unealistic Defensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): Ghost and/or Provolone Norris finalists

Realistic Rookie Predictions: Frost and Myers make the team both play well but nothing crazy

Realistic Team Prediction: 3rd in Metro

Realistic Offensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): G and Coots fall off from last year, G down to 45-50 ES points, Couts around 50, Voracek has as good a year, Patrick has a solid season (40+ ES points & 10-15 PP points), JVR 20+ goals, Simmonds, Laughton, Weal 10+ goals.

Realistic Defensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): Gudas bounces back and is on the 2nd pair with Sanheim, who takes a step up, Provorov puts it together and cuts back on the D-zone turnovers, Ghost stays about the same, Hagg/MacDonald start out as the 3rd pair but Myers pushes Hagg to 7th man role by January, before MacDonald is traded with salary retained at the TDL.

Unealistic Offensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): Patrick scores 30 goals and hits 75+ points, JvR scores 35 goals, Weal has 40 ES points centering the 3rd line.

Unealistic Defensive Player Predictions (guys already on the team): Sanheim puts up 30 ES points and is a madman on defense

Realistic Rookie Predictions: Myers make the team and plays much better than Sanheim last year, Lindblom gets 30 ES points if he gets a decent center

Unrealistic Rookie Predictions: Myers or Lindblom Calder finalists

Realistic Offensive Player Predictions: G 94pts, Coots 25 goals, Konecny 30 goals, Voracek ,Patrick and JVR start slow but pick up second half. Simmer puts up 20 goals and has name in trade rumours but stays the season. Lindblom gets 8 goals on third line...everyone starts hating the Swedes

Realistic Defensive Player Predictions: Hagg plays ahead of Sanhiem, Myers and Morin all season and Striiker threatens to stop following Flyers. Gudas becomes honorary Swede , AMac retires becomes assistant GM, Provo gets better and signs 8 yr extention worth 7.25 per during season, Ghost has best offensive numbers of all D in NHL

Unrealistic Offensive Player Predictions: Konecny scores 30 goals and hits 65+ points, JvR scores 30 goals

Unrealistic Defensive Player Predictions: Ghost gets with 20 goals 70 pts

Realistic Rookie Predictions: Myers make the team plays well but Hagg gets more minutes

Hakstol doesn't get fired, has 200 page thread called Fire Hak
