Damn that was brutal.
Updates says his injuries are not life threatening, which is good news.
Reminds me of the situation in which Dale Earnhardt was killed in the final lap of the 500 like almost 20 years ago

They just reported that he is in STABLE condition,,,,,,,this would be amazing

I just read that he is in serious condition but his injuries are not life-threatening. If true, that is very pleasantly surprising. He hit the wall hard, then when he flipped he took a hard hit to the upper part of the driver's side, and then he landed on that same area and slid along the track. It did not look good at all. Hopefully he makes a full recovery. As much as they've made racing "safer", it's still dangerous.
