PP Goals after giving up Shortie

Was watching a rebroadcast of 93 Leafs-Red Wings series, and heard Harry Neale make a comment. I believe it was the Red Wings who had scored shorthanded, and he said it was very difficult to score on the power play after having given up a short-handed goal.

So it got me wondering: has anyone ever looked at that? I wonder what kind of success rate PPs have after a shorty.

There have been studies showing that a shorthanded goal is very significant when it comes to winning a game compared to powerplay goals and even-strength goals. Haven't seen any study about how often PP goals are scored on the same PP AFTER the shorty though. Would be interesting!

I hasn't looked at in, but the query is not very difficult, so I ran a short script, and here are the results. Starting with the first expansion season, 1967/68.

The feat is rare, but not that rare.

Seems fairly obvious that of course it is harder to score a PPG after allowing a SHG considering that means time has already run off of the PP. Doubly so since it's most likely the SHG was scored with the first unit out and the second unit is probably coming on the ice after it.
