Last year James Sheppard was picked 13th overall by Minnesota. After a slow start due to injury he has really came on and has been a real leader and go to guy for Cape Breton during the last part of the season and the playoffs.
What kind of potential do you think he has?

9th overall actually

I haven't seen a lot of him, but I think he's got what it takes to make a big impact with the Wild within the next 5 years. I was down on him after he didn't make the WJC team, but it was due to a back injury.

1st line 2 way forward. I've seen some Brond'Amour comparisons, and that's probably the type of player and career to expect from James. He's a man among boys in the Q.

I picked him in EHM and he sucked :( 4th line winger

I did see him play once though, and he's really good.

Big playmaking center who is filling into his frame.

Probably back in QMJHL next year doesn't qualify for AHL. Although a definite wild horse candidate to make the wild team next year.

I think he can be a 75 pt player or around there anyways in 4-5 years.

Should be the wilds 2nd line center perhaps. I would like to see him on a line with bouchard....put a sniper on that line and you got a heck of a line. I suppose Rolston would suffice.
