Zach Hyman doesn't even make my roster and he won the CJHL player of the year award last season for best Junior A player in Canada. Garrett Wilson doesn't even make the starting lineup and he scored 40 goals in the OHL last season.
Really like Florida's prospect pool at the moment and you definitely have more prospects in there with almost unlimited ceiling (Huberdeau and Gudbranson) but Ottawa also boast a similar is not better depth. A few players that have been left off of a few lineup here have done similar to both Hyman and Wilson.
André Petersson tied Eberle at the WJC for most goals in 2009 and followed it up by winning the honours of best player at the European Trophy. He has barely played since due to a misdiagnosed back issue that was finally taken care of in Ottawa this spring.
Mike Hoffman won the QMJHL player of the year and lost out to Jordan Eberle and Tyler Seguin for CHL MVP award.
Mark Stone is aso coming off of a 100 points season in the WHL (37G and 69A)
All and all think Senators, Panthers and Islanders really have solid prospect pools. It is more impressive for Ottawa since up until 3 years ago our cupboards were so crazy bare. Teams has been able to thankfully turn farm system around in a hurry to compensate for the falling apart of our team over the last few years.
