Big question mark right now is 3RW. I also think Shero still has something up his sleeve to add a top 4 dman

Rakell/Ritchie Getzlaf Eaves
Cogs Kesler Silfverberg
Rakell/Ritchie Vermette Perry
Shaw Wagner Kase

Lindholm Manson
Fowler Vatanen
Montour Bieksa

Gibson/Miller

We could also see Rakell slide into middle on 3rd line and have Kase move up.

Hard to say what the lines will be, if Draisaitl gets shifted to 2c it changes everything but:

Maroon-McDavid-Draisaitl
Lucic-RNH-Slepyshev
Caggulia-Letestu-Strome
Pakarainen-Kharia-Kassian

Klefbom-Larsson
Russell-Sekera
Nurse-Benning

Talbot
Brossoit
I'm expecting Draisaitl to start the season at centre, or at least end up spending most of the season at centre, so right now my lines would look like this:

Maroon-McDavid-Puljujärvi
Lucic-Draisaitl-Strome
Caggulia-RNH-Slepyshev
Kharia-Letestu-Kassian
Pakarinen

Klefbom-Larsson
Sekera-Russell
Nurse-Benning
Gryba

Talbot
Brossoit

Wilson-MacKinnon-Rantanen
Landeskog-Duchene-Jost
Andrighetto-Compher-Comeau
Colborne-Soderberg-Nieto

Zadorov-EJ
Bigras-Barrie
Barberio-Mironov

Varly
Bernier

Bit of a wild guess as I have no real clue what their plans are with Jost, Compher, Soderberg, and Bigras.

Caps too. They definitely missed out the past two years. But at the same time, the Penguins beat the best the East has to offer.

Rangers, Caps, Lightning, CBJ, Caps again and then the Senators.

Panik on the top line? I liked him as a Leaf but never saw him to one day be a top liner. If he were on the Leafs right now he would likely be on the 4th line, maybe 3rd at best.

That DeBrincat kid is gonna be good.

baud panik played a top 6 role quite often for chi last season and scored 22 goals

toronto misused him

My take as of today on what we are likely to see from the Flyers in October:

Rookies are Italicized

Line 1: Oskar Lindblom - Claude Giroux - Jake Voracek
Line 2: Valterri Filppula - Sean Couturier - Travis Konecny
Line 3: Jordan Weal - Nolan Patrick - Wayne Simmonds
Line 4: Michael Raffl - Scott Laughton - Jori Lehtera

Extra: Dale Weise, Matt Read

Line 4 could also end up with Lehtera at 4C, Laughton scratched, and Weise or Read in the lineup at 4RW.

Defense 1: Ivan Provorov - Radko Gudas
Defense 2: Samuel Morin - Shayne Gostisbehere
Defense 3: Robert Hagg - Andrew MacDonald*

Extra: Brandon Manning

*This spot should go to Travis Sanheim, but I am a realist and I think they will opt to start him in the AHL rather than go with 3 rookie defensemen in the top 6. Once he gets in the lineup due to injury, he is there to stay (much like Ghost in 15-16).

Goalie 1A: Brian Elliott
Goalie 1B: Michael Neuvirth

This will be a platoon situation for sure as I can't imagine either goalie running away with the job. Whoever is hot will get the bulk of the starts.

Whether or not they compete for a Playoff spot will depend on two factors; whether or not Elliott/Neuvirth give them at least league average goaltending (.915 save prctg) and how their inexperienced defense performs.

Washington.

Lost Williams, Alzner, Schmidt, Shattenkirk (though probably shouldn't be counted), and Johansson.

Didn't add anyone.
