Haha yeah that was a common fix.Not mine, but my dad's. He drove a little Ford Fiesta back in the 90s, to cut down on gas costs and what not. the floor boards rotted out, though, and the shifted fell through the hole that used to be the floor. He threw some plywood down, bolted the shifted through the plywood and kept going for I don't know how many more years. I think a deer through the windshield one foggy morning is what finally killed that car. Then he got another Fiesta.
One of the foglights on my Legacy GT is being held in by zip ties and I have to stand on the gas to make it start about half the time. Probably a bad fuel pump.
