So everyone is always arguing about who should go where and "no way this guy goes there!" so why don't we all just do a quick mock draft post and let's see who gets the best results. Here is my completely shot in the dark, no chance in hell to be right mock draft. I will say that I believe Montreal trades 3 to Chicago for at least 8 and 27 and still winds up with Kotkaniemi.

1. Buffalo - Rasmus Dahlin
2. Carolina - Andrei Svechnikov
3. Montreal - Jesperi Kotkaniemi
4. Ottawa - Filip Zadina
5. Phoenix - Evan Bouchard
6. Detroit - Adam Boqvist
7. Vancouver - Quinton Hughes
8. Chicago - Brady Tkachuk
9. NYR - Noah Dobson
10. Edmonton - Oliver Wahlstrom
11. NYI - Joe Veleno
12. NYI - Body Wilde
13. Dallas - Rasmus Kupari
14. Philadelphia - Joel Farabee
15. Florida - KAndre Miller
16. Colorado - Barrett Hayton
17. NJ - Vitali Kravstov
18. Columbus - Rasmus Sandin
19. Philadelphia - Serron Noel
20. LA - Isac Lundestrom
21. San Jose - Ryan Merkley
22. Ottawa - Ty Smith
23. Anaheim - Mattias Samuelsson
24. Minnesota - Dominik Bokk
25. Toronto - Jett Woo
26. NYR - Akil Thomas
27. Chicago - Grigori Denisenko
28. NYR - Martin Kaut
29. St. Louis - Calen Addison
30. Detroit - Nils Lundkvist
31. Washington - Alexander Alexeyev

I’m only gonna do the lottery picks, and this is assuming no trades.

However, I do think MTL will move out of the top five and I think we will trade at least on first rounder, potentially moving down from 14.

This could change in 10 minutes and I put it together really quick, but here's mine. Yes, Islanders take two forwards....I think there might be a trade or two but this would be without it:
  1. Buffalo - Dahlin
  2. Carolina - Zadina
  3. Montreal - Svechnikov
  4. Ottawa - Hughes
  5. Arizona - Kotkaniemi
  6. Detroit - Bouchard
  7. Vancouver - Dobson

  25. Toronto - Veleno
  26. New York - Beaudin

  30. Detroit - Mcleod
  31. Washington - Wilde

Carolina has already made it known that Svechnikov is their pick at 2.

I sure hope thats not the Flyers actual picks!

Never know. :) I could see it shaking out this way or could be waaaaaay off. Lundestrom is very under rated in my opinion so I wouldn't be upset about it although I know others would be. There are suprise's/question marks every year. Not sure I've ever seen a mock draft hit even with just the top 10.

I like Lundestrom at 19. Dont get me wrong. There will be a few guys with higher-ceilings at 14 though. Passing over high-ceiling guys is how Boston missed on Barzal, Connor, and Konecny with 3 straight picks in the middle of the 1st in 2015.

Like I said....question marks! Boston was a HUGE question mark that year. Nobody understood the thought process there. Who will it be this year?

Maybe I'm the question mark around here because I see big things from Lundestrom and would be totally fine with him at 14???? :)

Lundestrom seems like an almost guarantee to be a good 3C in the NHL one day. I just prefer guys with top 6 potential with a pick that high.
