Someone voted Hall as a center. The best center in fact, better than McDavid.

Easy to piece together...

LW: Ovechkin
C: Kopitar
RW: Kessel
D: Carlson
D: Klingberg
G: Vasilevskiy
True but it should be official. The league has 31, soon to be 32 teams and they still use an awards system designed for a 6 team league.

I think this should be increased. Make it simulate a team. 4 forward lines, 3 dman pairs and 2 goalies.

Does any sport have an official "Third-Team All Star" and if so, why? What purpose does it actually serve when the voting is made public?

That said, I do see the value in looking at the votes and thus I commented. You may be interested (if not already aware) of our resident superstar Hockey Outsider's thread over in HOH: https://hfboards.mandatory.com/threads/nhl-first-second-and-third-team-all-stars.1460365/

I see him feverishly making our lives better and easier as we speak over there actually.
