Hmmm...He took the draw. I really have no idea how he didn't get one on that goal. Even if the opposition player pushed it forward off the draw, it's pretty customary to give the center an assist on a faceoff goal. We'll have to keep an eye on that one too. We're still waiting on that missing Morgan Rielly assist from the first game. :shakehead

I hope they fix these. IIHF is really bad at this whole assist thing.

Wow, I have nine guys in that Canada/US game tonight. Actually eight with Lipon suspended. Still, that's a lot for one game. Better be an old fashioned 80's style goal fest!

Sorry, Ben, out of luck with Gryz. As for Olli Maata, I haven't heard anything, but I did watch part of that game and didn't recall seeing him. Guys are dropping like flies.

2-1. Yeah, that's what I thought. :shakehead

And add Griffin Reinhart to the list of missing assists, as he should have got one on the RNH goal instead of Scheifele.

Maatta wasn't on the game sheet, but can't find anything about him being injured.

I did rather well today considering I only had three guys playing (8 points). Unfortunately, I'm running out of time and it looks like I'm going to need a Peter Forsberg vs Japan game from one of my guys!

I just need Housley to stop being an idiot re: Galchenyuk.

Who did Bendover pick.. Sean Kuraly?

I am surprised to see Galchenyuk get as little ice time as he is, but then again I wouldn't say he's doing that much with the time he's been given either.

Nobody has Kuraly, but Ben got some points from Jones today and a couple of his Russian boys.

Nobody wants Kuraly. What a useless hockey player.

By the way, a few days ago I said we would go with the official IIHF stats and just wait for them to correct their mistakes. Oh, how naive I was back then! It has become abundantly clear that they have no interest (or ability, perhaps) to change the scoring errors. My question to the rest of you is; should we just write those missed points off as the cost of doing business in an IIHF based pool, or do we go back and just start correcting things ourselves?

I think we just stick with the IIHF's stats. We will run into too many debates with people over the missed points.
